PAUL J. MENZEL, CLP
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Menzel joined Financial Pacific in 2008. He began his career in leasing in 1975 with Puritan Leasing Company where he became Vice-President and General Manager. He continued in this role after Puritan was acquired by Cal Fed Credit in 1986. When Cal Fed Credit was acquired by Pacific Capital Bank NA (fka Santa Barbara Bank & Trust) in 1996, Mr. Menzel’s role was expanded and he became Senior Vice-President of Community Lending for Pacific Capital. In this role he oversaw the Leasing, Small Business and Indirect Auto Lending units of the Bank, managing over $750 million in assets. In 2007 when Pacific Capital sold its leasing business to LEAF Financial Corporation, he became President of LEAF Third Party Funding. Mr. Menzel, a Certified Lease Professional, is a past Board Member of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association and chaired their Code of Fair Business Practices and Small-ticket Business Council committees. He also served on the Industry Future Council. In 2005 he was named “Leasing Person of the Year” by Leasing News. He earned his BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley in 1974 and an MBA in Management from Golden Gate University.
Peter A. Davis
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Davis is responsible for finance and accounting, including financial planning,
treasury, and tax. He joined Financial Pacific in 1998 as Vice President and Controller and
advanced to his current position in 2002. Prior to Financial Pacific he was Controller for
Parker Paint Manufacturing, a regional manufacturer and retailer of specialty paint products.
He also worked at Ernst & Young serving clients in a variety of industries. Mr. Davis
earned a B.A. in Business with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University
of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Bruce C. Spencer
Senior Vice President, Credit and Operations
Mr. Spencer is responsible for credit operations including credit policy, underwriting,
customer service and documentation. He joined Financial Pacific in 1999 as Vice President of
the Portfolio Services department with primary responsibility for collections and moved to his
current position in 2007. Prior to Financial Pacific he held various positions over a 25 year
career in retail banking with Rainier Bank, Security Pacific, and Bank of America including
Branch Manager, Regional Management, Credit Administration, Risk Management and Manager of
Branch and Dealer Lending. Mr. Spencer earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from
Western Washington University and a diploma from the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management
at the University of Virginia.
Terey N. Jennings, CLP
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Jennings, a Certified Lease Professional, is responsible for all sales and marketing
activities of the Company. He joined Financial Pacific in 1986 and has held various positions
within the sales and marketing area. Mr. Jennings is active in a number of equipment leasing
associations and is a past President of the United Association of Equipment Leasing. He serves
on the Pierce County Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Washington. He earned a degree
in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.
John R. Wright, CLP
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Services
Mr. Wright, a Certified Lease Professional, is responsible for portfolio collections, asset
management and residual recovery. He joined Financial Pacific in 2000 as a Manager in the Portfolio
Services Department.
He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2002 and assumed responsibilities for multiple
divisions within Portfolio Services.
Prior to Financial Pacific Mr.
Wright held various management positions over a 23 year career in Consumer Collections with Rainier
Bank, Security Pacific Bank and Key Bank. In his last position before joining Financial Pacific Mr.
Wright was Vice President and Regional Manager for Key Bank USA’s Western Region Collection Center.
